PROJECTS
Nursery School in January 2017
Our latest Project to get underway is the creation of a preschool with boarding facilities for children between 3 and 9 years old who find themselves orphaned, or left vulnerable by complicated family situations. These children currently not only need to receive an education, but also a safe place where both their basic and emotional needs can be attended to.
DORMITORIES
As things stand, we have already built two houses which function as dormitories for the youngest children. We are furnishing the interioir with beds, mattresses, wardrobes and clothes racks.
CLASSROOMS
We will construct 3 buildings or modules with a dimension of 40x25ft. These will house the 3 classes of our school, into which the children will be divided by age.
FENCING
We will build fences around the grounds of the school for more security and protection for the children.
TOILETS
We will build 2 latrines in the grounds of the school and boarding facilities. Currently on the island, such amenities are not normally found except in subsidized social centres or in public health facilities.

Lastly, we are considering the possibility of extending the living quarters for volunteers, with the objective of housing a larger workforce, and to offer them improved conditions during the time in which they help us develop our programme.
